Strengthen the security at hospitals with fog cannons Fog cannons significantly enhance hospital security by quickly filling a room with thick, non-toxic fog when an intrusion is detected. This immediate response disorients intruders, making it difficult for them to navigate or find valuable assets, thereby preventing criminal activities and allowing security personnel time to respond.

Fog Cannons can Offer Immediate Response Keeps sensitive areas safe When thinking of theft or robbery, your mind wouldn’t automatically go to hospitals. However, hospitals have a need for security measures for several reasons. Firstly, a hospital has lots of expensive and important drugs and equipment on hand for its daily operations. These drugs and equipment can be seen as profitable targets for criminals. Moreover, hospitals have sensitive information due to their patient records. Therefore, it is important to have security solutions in place if a criminal were to try to access these records. This is important both for the hospital and its reputation and for those patients whose sensitive information is being stored. In addition, a robbery can lead to a lengthy process to return to the initial starting point. The expensive and important equipment needs to be replaced. However, for a place like a hospital, this can be a long process, as the equipment must be ordered, installed, tested, and so on. This can mean longer waiting times for the hospital’s patients and can decrease satisfaction with the institution.

No, the dense security fog is quite harmless. The fog can be compared to “disco smoke”. PROTECT’s security fog have been documented by laboratories at home and abroad, including the Institute of Technology in Denmark. See documentation on our website.
The fog from a PROTECT Fog Cannon ® will stay in the room for up to an hour after firing without venting. We recommend venting within one hour of the firing.
No. However, we recommend venting within 1 hour of firing to avoid condensation of the water-based fog. If this does not happen, you will probably still not be able to see or feel that a fog cannon has been fired. Any cleaning on horizontal surfaces should only be with a ragged cloth without detergents.
No! The words “fog cannon” and “smoke cannon” are used interchangeably but cover the same. Security fog look like real, white smoke, but have nothing to do with smoke. It is not harmful to breathe in the fog and one does not get sick. If the building has a fire alarm system, your fire detectors (sensors) must be of the right kind so that they do not perceive the fog as real smoke. Ask your alarm installer or call PROTECT ™.
Security fog have a simple and straightforward function – namely to cut off access to valuable property for over an hour by temporarily making them invisible. A fog cannon does not catch a thief in a building or cut off the escape routes in any way. Upon proper mounting, the thieves are immediately confronted with the fog, so they immediately flee along the path they entered – thereby avoiding loss of valuables.
