PROTECT Fog Cannon® as your proactive security solution Proved effective ATMs are prime targets for criminals. An incident can cause significant financial damage. Even when the attack is not successful and the criminals leave without the money, it still causes serious harm to the ATM and the building. This can mean significant downtime before the ATM and building are restored, which can impact the continuity of the business. ATMs are also targets of vandalism. This can be a big problem not only due to the cleanup required but also because of the damage it can do to a bank’s image. It can create less trust for the customers of the bank, and they can feel as if the bank isn’t securing their finances sufficiently. This can lead to people searching elsewhere, resulting in a financial impact due to fewer customers. It also causes concern to the public; people could be living upstairs or passing by when the ATM explodes.

Traditional security measures aren’t sufficient Why a proactive approach is needed Traditional security measures like surveillance and alarms aren’t sufficient to avoid the tampering of ATMs. These systems can provide significant security; however, it has been shown not to stop the criminals. The systems will provide evidence and alert authorities. However, criminals are often masked when they conduct their actions, so police often can’t use the CCTV to identify the guilty party, and they are often gone before reinforcement can show up. Therefore, a more proactive approach is needed.

Security fog can be used in all sizes of premises. Your alarm installer will work with you to determine what needs to be protected by the fog. Then he measures the room and calculates which fog cannon to use and if more than one fog cannon is needed. If you have a very high ceiling, we have a solution that solves the challenge. PROTECT ™ has a fog cannon for every need.

The fog from a PROTECT Fog Cannon ® will stay in the room for up to an hour after firing without venting. We recommend venting within one hour of the firing.
No. However, we recommend venting within 1 hour of firing to avoid condensation of the water-based fog. If this does not happen, you will probably still not be able to see or feel that a fog cannon has been fired. Any cleaning on horizontal surfaces should only be with a ragged cloth without detergents.
Sure, but if you get uninvited guests, they’ll still be able to steal your valuables anyway. A thief knows that nothing happens for the first 10-15 minutes, even if you have a burglar alarm. And if you have video surveillance, the thief just covers his face. On the other hand, with security fog you prevent the burglary from happening at all or the thief cannot find the most valuable items.
