Information What happens when you use unofficial fog fluid? Home / Information / What happens when you use unof... At PROTECT we offer a safe fog fluid technology, which has been tested and approved by numerous laboratories and testing institutes worldwide, e.g., The Danish Technological Institute. You can read more about Approvals and tests here. Using unofficial fog fluid is strictly prohibited because it may result in errors. This article will elaborate on PROTECT Fog Fluid, our offer of refill service, and the consequences of using unofficial fog fluid. What does PROTECT Fog Fluid consist of? PROTECT XTRA+ Fog Fluid is a mixture of propylene glycol and water. When heated, this mixture will turn into a dense white fog in seconds, which will make it impossible for the intruder to see anything and thereby steal. Propylene glycol is not harmful and won’t leave a residue on any surfaces. Moreover, the fog is safe for both humans, animals, and inventory, and will not cause any harm. Each of our fog fluid containers are made to fit specific PROTECT fog cannons and will be sure to provide the perfect amount of fog for your security needs. What are the consequences of using unofficial fog fluid? By using unofficial fog fluid PROTECT can’t take responsibility for any harm or errors which might take place. When using fog fluid that isn’t produced at PROTECT, the warranty of the fog cannon will be invalid. The same thing goes for the certifications on our fog cannons. As stated above, our official XTRA+ fog fluid is tested and approved and is known not to cause any harm to the environment in which the fog cannon is activated or the fog cannon itself. Since we don’t know the composition of the unofficial fog fluid, you can’t be sure that the effect when activated will be the same. It might not offer the promised coverage, and thereby the protection of your premises can be compromised. The PROTECT XTRA+ fog fluid is carefully made, to be sure to offer the best and most reliable protection. As our fog fluid only is based on glycol and water, you can be certain it won’t cause any harm. This might not be the case for other fluids, which might not have the same composition as XTRA+. Additionally, we cannot ensure that there are no potential health hazards or damages associated with other unofficial fog fluids. PROTECT Refill Service In some areas the the XTRA+ fluid containers from PROTECT are refillable with our Refill Service, which is a further advantage to our fog fluid containers.
